Zoomlion Initiates a New Era in Smart Construction with the Launch of Its First Corporate Satellite

The Chinese multinational Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd. has taken a historic step by successfully launching the satellite that bears its name, establishing an unprecedented precedent in the global engineering machinery sector. This achievement demonstrates the company's expansion from terrestrial operations into orbit, with a strong focus on digitalization, artificial intelligence, sustainability, and global connectivity.

The launch took place at 00:31 hours (Beijing time) from coastal waters near Rizhao in Shandong Province, using the Jielong-3 launcher. This mission is part of the Geely Constellation Group 04 project, intended to improve communications and data analysis in remote areas.

The Zoomlion satellite represents a significant advance for the company, which seeks to integrate technologies such as Big Data, IoT, and AI in its next-generation services offering. This will enable Zoomlion to offer more advanced solutions in terms of speed, intelligence, and sustainability, even in extreme environments such as the Arctic, deserts, and offshore platforms.

Founded in 1992, Zoomlion has established itself as a leader in the manufacture of engineering equipment, mining equipment, and agricultural machinery, operating in more than 200 countries. The company owns eight national R&D platforms, more than 17,800 patents, and has developed 570 industrial standards. It stands out for its technological innovations, such as the creation of the first 3,000-ton crawler crane in China and the world's longest carbon-fiber concrete pump truck.

At the heart of its strategy lies the Smart Industrial City, a conglomerate of 23 smart factories, along with more than 10 international production and R&D centers, and a logistics infrastructure of 30 major hubs. These facilities employ advanced automation technologies and data analytics to improve production efficiency and reduce the carbon footprint.

The launch of the satellite also has significant economic potential, by placing Zoomlion in an advantageous position in areas such as supply chain optimization, reduction of maintenance costs, and expansion into emerging markets with limitations in communications infrastructure. The integration of real-time data-based services could enhance your offering in the field of global connectivity for machinery.

This move consolidates Zoomlion not only as a leader in the industrial sector, but also in the nascent market of global connective solutions, reaffirming its position on the international stage. These initiatives place the company at the forefront of the sector's complete digitalization, improving efficiency and the ability to respond to challenges anywhere in the world.
