The president of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano García-Page, has intensified his criticism of the PSOE's leadership after being attacked at the party's recent Federal Committee meeting. At an event in Cuenca, García-Page warned that political governance should not be based on fear and emphasized the importance of self-criticism. "Some fear criticism more than they fear the corrupt," he noted, suggesting that the party should focus on the real problems instead of silencing dissenting voices. In response to questions about the possible emergence of new corruption cases related to the PSOE, García-Page was forceful in stating that he does not feel secure about it.
Moreover, in response to the accusations by the Minister of Transport, Óscar Puente, the regional president defended his independence, stating: "I don't have a fucking master." He criticized the lack of a critical voice within the party and compared the current situation with past eras, stating that he had never seen fewer criticisms than there are now. He proposed that Pedro Sánchez submit to a vote of confidence in Congress, suggesting that the fear of losing the social majority is what prevents such action. García-Page concluded that if the president's future explanations in Parliament do not differ from those of the Federal Committee, an aggravation of the internal crisis in the PSOE is expected.
