Internexa inaugurates a point of presence at the HostDime data center in Bogotá, Colombia.

In a strategic move to strengthen its digital infrastructure, InterNexa has launched an innovative Mega PoP in HostDime's Nebula data center, located in Bogotá. This expansion emphasizes the importance of facilities as an essential interconnection hub in Colombia, consolidating InterNexa as a leader in IP and fiber-optic operations with an extensive network spanning more than 32,000 kilometers.

Nebula boasts the prestigious Tier IV certification from the Uptime Institute, offering ultra-low latency and high access capacity for operators and digital service providers. The new Mega PoP will facilitate connectivity between companies in various sectors, improving access to online content, cloud services, and artificial intelligence applications, which results in a high-performance environment for end users in Colombia.

With a sustainability-focused design, the data center spans more than 6,500 square meters and offers a 100% uptime SLA. Its 6 MW of electrical capacity and high rack densities position Nebula as a standout facility. Furthermore, it already has more than ten fiber-optic operators in its network, making it one of the most interconnected in the country.

Manny Vivar, founder of HostDime, highlighted this new collaboration with InterNexa as a milestone in Colombia's digital infrastructure. He noted that the objective of developing Nebula was to create an ecosystem that would benefit all stakeholders, from cloud providers to fiber-optic operators.

This advancement not only positively impacts the business sector; it also improves the experience of end users in Colombia, by enabling faster access to streaming services and cloud applications, eliminating the need for international backhaul.

Colombia reinforces its position as a key technology node in the region, meeting the growing demand for low-latency infrastructures in sectors such as finance and public administration. In a scenario where AI workloads are increasingly common, Nebula's infrastructure offers an essential competitive advantage for companies seeking cutting-edge solutions.

The collaboration between HostDime and InterNexa not only optimizes connectivity in the market, but also drives the country's economic and technological growth, aligning with the goal of both companies to establish state-of-the-art data centers in emerging and underserved markets.
