Meanwhile, the Andalusian political calendar is preparing for the 2025 regional elections, pitting Moreno against the socialist candidate María Jesús Montero. Feijóo and Moreno focused their criticisms on fiscal policies, accusing the central government of favoring certain communities at the expense of Andalusia. Moreno pledged to reject the autonomous debt write-off recently approved by Montero as part of an agreement with ERC, a measure that significantly benefited Andalusia. However, Moreno dismissed it as an attempt to whitewash the pact with the independence movement, defending the dignity and equitable support for his community.
