This morning, the councilor for the Centro district, Carlos Segura, was in charge of inaugurating the district's fourth mental health conference. Organized by the municipal council and the Mental Health Commission of Centro's Community Table on Childhood and Adolescence, the event took place at La Casa Encendida and drew a full house, demonstrating the growing interest of the community in mental health topics.
The event, which brought together experts, professionals and citizens, has addressed the concerning increase in the demand for mental health care. This increase reflects a greater awareness and need for resources in this area, especially among the district's young population.
Carlos Segura highlighted the importance of these meetings to raise awareness in society about mental health and to promote public policies that ensure proper care. In addition, he stressed the commitment of local institutions to provide the necessary support and resources to face these challenges.
The activity has been a platform for the exchange of ideas, studies, and proposals that aim to improve mental health care, a topic that has gained particular relevance in recent years and that remains a priority for the Central district community.
