Tragedy in Madrid: Two Fatal Victims in Traffic Accidents in the Last 24 Hours

Two men have lost their lives in the last 24 hours in traffic accidents in the Community of Madrid. A 20-year-old man died in the early hours of Thursday after being run over on the M-501 road in San Martín de Valdeiglesias. According to the Community of Madrid's 112 Emergency Services, the incident occurred around 0.40 hours. The medical services attempted to resuscitate the young man without success. The Civil Guard is investigating the circumstances of the hit-and-run, as well as the young man's presence in a sparsely urbanized and dark area. The firefighters intervened to secure the accident area.

On the other hand, an 80-year-old man died on Wednesday afternoon after veering off the road on the M-235 in Los Santos de la Humosa. The accident, which occurred at 20:15 hours, left the driver as the sole victim inside the vehicle. The Community of Madrid's Medical Emergency Service (Summa 112) confirmed his death upon arrival at the scene, and the firefighters worked to recover the body. Both accidents are under investigation by the Guardia Civil to clarify their causes and circumstances.
