TOMSA Destil, a benchmark in alcohol distillation worldwide, has taken a significant step in its commitment to sustainability by inaugurating its second photovoltaic plant together with MASPV at its offices in Barajas, Madrid. This facility reinforces the successful collaboration between the two companies, which began with the first plant in Alcalá de Henares in May 2023.
MASPV, a leader in photovoltaic solutions, was key in the design and development of both plants, adapting the facilities to the specific needs of TOMSA Destil. While the first plant used EGING 545W modules with a rooftop mounting system, the new plant is distinguished by its innovative wall mounting, underscoring MASPV's versatility for deployment in unconventional environments.
The CEO of MASPV, Ángel Serrano, expressed the relevance of these initiatives: "The collaboration with TOMSA Destil demonstrates how technological innovation can transform the business sector. At MASPV, we are proud to have developed solutions that optimize energy generation in a sustainable manner."
The Alcalá de Henares plant achieves an annual production of 105,650 kWh, an energy independence of 46.8%, and a reduction of 42 tonnes of CO₂, enough to preserve 54 trees per year. On the other hand, the Barajas plant, with a capacity of 12 kWp, will produce 15,982 kWh annually, reducing 6 tonnes of CO₂ and safeguarding 71 trees each year.
From TOMSA Destil, they highlighted the positive impact of this alliance, not only on its business activity but also on the environment. With more than 121,000 kWh produced annually across both plants, the collaboration underscores the essential role of businesses in the transition to a more sustainable future.
MASPV, with over 20 years of experience in the sector, continues its international expansion with projects in multiple countries, offering self-consumption solutions that allow companies to achieve more than 50% energy independence without the need for large initial investments.
