The Primavera Sound festival has reached record figures this year, with a total of 293,000 visits, as reported by Alfonso Lanza, co-director of the event, and Marta Pallarés, head of Institutional Relations. The edition has stood out for its free opening day and the closing, with 30,000 attendees each. The audience, evenly composed of men and women with an average age of 29, comes mainly from abroad, representing 65% of the attendees, with England, the United States and Italy as the most represented countries. This success reinforces the festival's position among the three most important in the world.
The Spring to the City cycle has also shone with 20,000 attendees, rounding figures never seen before. With a daily attendance of 71,000 people at the Fórum, next year the Auditori will be restored for concerts, without losing spaces such as the Apolo or the Paral·lel 62, which this year operated successfully. The next edition is scheduled for June 4–6, and the organizers are preparing to negotiate the extension of the Fórum's lease agreement. Alfonso Lanza has assured that any future project will be compatible with the festival's activities.
