Eight arrested for attacking the Ertzaintza during a Falange rally in Vitoria

The Basque Police arrested eight hooded youths after an attempt to disrupt the rally organized by a far-right party during National Day in the Plaza de la Provincia. The detainees attempted to interrupt the event that had gathered approximately 200 people, creating moments of tension in the area. The police intervention allowed the dispersal of the protesters and prevented major altercations, ensuring that the protest ran its course without notable incidents.

The event, which forms part of the October 12 celebrations, took place amid a strong security deployment due to the polarization generated by this type of gathering in the region. The Basque Police are continuing to investigate the incident as the youths remain detained, facing possible charges of public disorder. The local authorities have called for calm and mutual respect to avoid new situations of conflict on a day that seeks to celebrate national unity.
