Copper cable thieves leave several streets in Chamartín in darkness

In a new twist on criminal tactics, it has been discovered that a group of thieves has been using uniforms of well-known companies to carry out robberies without raising suspicion. This methodology allows criminals to move easily through the areas where they commit robberies, since they are perceived as legitimate workers by neighbors and passersby. Authorities have alerted the public to the need to verify any unusual activity, even if those carrying it out appear to be employees of official companies. This strategy has complicated the identification of the suspects, who have managed to go unnoticed for a considerable amount of time.

The police investigation suggests that thieves take advantage of the access that this legitimate appearance provides them to enter residential and commercial buildings. Once inside, they commit the crime and escape without triggering an alarm. The police have intensified their efforts to identify the members of the group and have asked for citizen cooperation to report any situation that seems out of the ordinary. Meanwhile, the companies whose identities have been usurped are taking measures to increase security and prevent their uniforms from falling into the wrong hands.
