Renfe's railway service between Ulldecona and L’Aldea, on the line that connects Barcelona with Valencia, will resume this Monday at 11:00 a.m. The service interruption was due to the heavy rains that affected the Montsià region, where rainfall of up to 250 liters per square meter was recorded in several municipalities. These weather conditions caused flooding and damage to infrastructure, forcing the company to temporarily suspend service to ensure passenger safety.
The local authorities have been working intensively to restore normal conditions and ensure the safety of the railway line. Emergency and maintenance teams have been active over the weekend, assessing damage and repairing affected roads. Renfe has thanked users for their understanding in light of this unforeseen situation and has guaranteed that additional measures will be taken to prevent future disruptions due to extreme weather events in the region.
