The Seville Public Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation into the alleged disappearance and alteration of medical records and diagnostic tests in the Clic Salud and Diraya applications of the Andalusian Health Service (SAS). This case is added to another ongoing investigation related to delays in breast cancer screening diagnoses. The complaints were filed by the Association of Women Victims of Breast Cancer in Andalusia, who requested the intervention of the Public Prosecutor's Office to investigate the possible deletion and alteration of information critical to legal actions related to failures in the prevention programs.
The Health Minister, Antonio Sanz, and the president of the Junta, Juan Manuel Moreno, have denied that the SAS has the capacity to delete medical records. However, an incident earlier in the week with the Clic Salud system outage temporarily complicated access to some tests. Upon resuming access, alerts were raised about mammograms that had lost important markings and the disappearance of radiologists' names in the reports, increasing concern among the affected. The authorities have urged calm as investigations continue to shed light on these incidents.
