American Investors Take Control of the Market: New Strategies in Play

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, signed an executive order that ensures the safe and legal operation of TikTok in the country, after an agreement reached with its Chinese parent company, ByteDance. During the signing ceremony, Vice President JD Vance highlighted the importance of the pact, which seeks to protect the privacy of Americans' data. According to Vance, despite China's resistance, the main objective has been to ensure the use of the application while safeguarding users' sensitive data.

According to the new provisions, TikTok shall establish an operating company in the United States that is disconnected from ByteDance, especially with regard to Beijing's access to the servers that store user data. The deal, valued at approximately $14 billion, will involve U.S. companies such as Oracle, which was already storing data from the app while ByteDance was in charge. Trump emphasized the intention to maintain full control over the app's algorithm, which will increase users' confidence in the protection of their personal data against potential propaganda abuses.
