The Community of Madrid has given the green light to an investment of 3 million euros intended for the construction of an indoor pool at the Duque de Algete Sports Complex, as agreed by the Government Council at its most recent session held recently. This project will be part of the Regional Investment Program (PIR), whose objective is to promote the development and improvement of municipal infrastructure.
The new aquatic facility will meet one of the most requested demands of the residents of Algete, who had been asking for higher-quality sports facilities for some time. The indoor pool will not only provide a place for year-round swimming practice, but it will also serve as a gathering place for various community and health activities.
For its part, the local authorities have expressed their satisfaction with the announcement, highlighting the importance of this project for the promotion of the physical well-being of the citizens. It is a project that reinforces our commitment to improving the quality of life of the people of Algete and to promoting healthy sports habits, said the mayor of the municipality.
During the operation of the new facilities, the creation of several jobs is expected, both at the operational and administrative levels, thereby contributing to local economic growth. Moreover, various initiatives will be planned so that the indoor pool is accessible to all age groups and abilities, ensuring inclusive use of the space.
More broadly, the Community of Madrid, through the Regional Investment Program, continues to reaffirm its commitment to the balanced development of infrastructure in its localities, consolidating itself as a key driver in promoting projects that seek to raise the standard of living of its citizens.
This Duque de Algete Sports Center project joins other regional efforts to equip municipalities with modern facilities tailored to current needs, ensuring equitable and high-quality access to essential services.
