Fire Devastates a 1,000 m² industrial warehouse in Griñón: Emergency in Madrid

A raging fire ravaged an industrial warehouse of 1,000 square meters in the La Estación industrial estate in Griñón, Madrid, during the early hours of Tuesday. The flames began around 5:30 a.m. in an outdoor area of pallets, rapidly spreading toward the interior of the warehouse. Despite the intensity of the fire, 14 fire crews of the Madrid Community Fire Department managed to bring the incident under control, preventing it from spreading to other nearby structures. The efforts to contain the flames involved the use of hoses from the outside due to the high temperatures and the difficult access.

Fortunately, there were no injuries or cases of smoke inhalation reported. However, a team from Summa 112 is on site as a precaution. After containing the fire, the firefighters continue working to fully extinguish the fire inside the building and secure the area, especially on the roof, which reached high temperatures. The affected warehouse was surrounded by similar facilities, which heightened the tension regarding the possibility of a greater spread.
