As part of HUAWEI CONNECT 2025, Huawei and Zhongshan Hospital of Fudan University announced the creation of an international model of smart healthcare. The collaboration between these organizations marks a milestone in the implementation of advanced technologies in the health sector.
The event featured the participation of Shi Yinghong, vice president of Zhongshan Hospital; Sean Zhou, co-CEO of United Imaging Intelligence; and Li Junfeng, vice president of Huawei and CEO of the Global Public Sector Business Unit.
Zhongshan Hospital has embarked on an ambitious project together with Huawei to develop an innovative ecosystem of health services, based on an intelligent infrastructure and integrated with specific solutions for various scenarios. This approach has enabled the creation of 8 core scenarios and 24 expanded smart healthcare scenarios. Medical technology, implemented on the main campus and its nine satellite campuses, has supported innovation in more than 40 disease areas, improving diagnostic efficiency in radiology by 50% thanks to the use of artificial intelligence.
Gu Jianying, the party secretary at Zhongshan Hospital, emphasized the importance of cutting-edge technologies such as advanced computing and AI to continue leading the adoption of medical innovations.
Sean Zhou revealed that, through the uAI NEXUS model, six specialized agents have been deployed at Zhongshan Hospital. These agents optimize areas such as radiology, surgical interventions, and quality management, strengthening medical services in equity and efficiency.
Finally, Li Junfeng emphasized the rapid evolution toward intelligent and personalized medical experiences thanks to AI. It highlighted Huawei's commitment to continue innovating and supporting Zhongshan Hospital on its path to becoming a global reference in intelligent healthcare.
This collaboration represents a significant advance in the promotion of Chinese medical innovations at a global level, establishing new standards in healthcare.
