During the HUAWEI CONNECT 2025 summit, Huawei unveiled a significant milestone in the technological field with the launch of the 'White Paper on RAMS-Powered ISP/MSP Business Success'. This event, focused on the theme "Empowering the ISP/MSP industry with All Inteligence and resilience", highlighted the central role of artificial intelligence (AI) in the transformation of Internet service providers (ISPs) and managed service providers (MSPs).
The new framework presented, known as RAMS, rests on four essential pillars: return on investment (ROI), availability, maintenance, and security. This approach aims to guide ISPs and MSPs in their evolution from simple connectivity providers to providers of intelligent services, maximizing the advantages of AI.
York Yue, Huawei's Vice President and CEO of the ISP & OTT Business Unit, highlighted the urgency of adapting to a technology environment that is in continuous change. Yue pointed out three critical areas that data centers and ISPs should pay attention to: the increase in bandwidth to manage the growing traffic, the optimization of data center deployments to meet the latency demands imposed by AI, and the improvement of reliability standards to ensure stable operation of applications.
Huang Dachuan, CTO of Huawei's ICT Solutions Marketing and Sales Department, complemented this vision by emphasizing the importance of building intelligent networks that guarantee continuous and high-quality services. According to Huang, the RAMS architecture, developed with the impetus of intelligence and resilience, is designed to integrate flexible access networks and intelligent cloud platforms. This architecture enables on-demand expansion and automated maintenance, optimizing both reliability and the user experience.
The White Paper also proposes a reference architecture to optimize ROI and the intelligent operation of networks, focused on practical scenarios. Its purpose is to provide technical support to ISPs and MSPs in the construction of resilient and innovative networks, promoting growth in continually evolving sectors.
Huawei reaffirms its commitment to industry leadership, providing advanced solutions to more than 5,000 ISPs and MSPs in more than 120 countries. Looking to the future, the company plans to double its investment in research and development, focusing on the integration of networks and artificial intelligence and collaborating closely with customers and partners to effectively implement innovative technologies.
