With less than eight months to go before Estadio Azteca, renamed Estadio Ciudad de México, serves as the opening venue for the 2026 World Cup, fans are eager to get tickets. FIFA has already begun selling luxury packages for most of the matches in Mexico, although not yet for the national team's games. The first pre-sale stage concluded in September, targeted at VISA cardholders, while the second phase of general sale will begin in late October with a registration lottery. Ticket prices vary, from the cheapest for the group stage at $60, up to $6,730 for the final.
The second phase of ticket distribution, called 'early draw,' will take place between October 27 and 31. Participants must register on FIFA's official site and wait for an email with instructions if they are selected. The demand is high, since tickets are available for all 104 matches of the tournament, in a system that uses a lottery to determine access to purchase. Subsequently, in December, after the official draw that will determine matchups and venues, a third phase of sales will open. Additionally, FIFA began selling 'Hospitality' tickets, which include exclusive services and are available for several matches in Mexico, except those in which the Tri is the host.
