The Madrid City Council has announced a new initiative to improve the city's road infrastructure. Through the Department of Works and Equipment, improvement works will be carried out in the tunnel of Gran Vía de Hortaleza. Inma Sanz, vice mayor and municipal spokesperson, announced this decision after the Governing Board's weekly meeting.
The project represents an investment of 1.5 million euros and aims to optimize the safety and functionality of traffic on one of the Hortaleza district's most important arteries. These works are part of the City Council's ongoing commitment to maintaining and improving the city's infrastructures, ensuring a safer and more efficient urban environment for its citizens.
Although the exact timelines for execution have not yet been detailed, it is expected that the works will begin soon, minimizing the inconvenience to drivers and pedestrians. Furthermore, the City Council has stressed the importance of these improvements, not only in terms of infrastructure, but also in improving the quality of life of the area's residents.
The work in the Gran Vía tunnel in Hortaleza adds to other recent efforts by the City Council to renew and modernize key infrastructures in Madrid, the capital, demonstrating once again its commitment to sustainable development and the welfare of the community.
