Avoid Repeating Mistakes: Learn from the Lessons of the Past

Paula, the daughter of the famous singer Marta Sánchez, dedicated herself to sharing her perspective on her mother on Cuatro's program "Mis raíces," hosted by Isabel Jiménez. In her first television appearance, the young woman described Marta as a 'supernormal' and 'overprotective' mother, highlighting her wish that Paula not make the same mistakes that she has experienced throughout her life. According to Paula, this overprotection is focused mainly on friendships, since her mother has a great ability to discern who are true friends and who are not.

While Paula was making these statements, the singer, in a parallel intervention, agreed with her daughter's reflections, reiterating that the objective of her protection is to prevent Paula from facing the disappointments that she herself experienced in the past. Marta admitted to having had friendships that she believed to be sincere, but they turned out not to be sincere. Despite their similarities in views on friendship, Paula noted that, unlike her mother, she is more reserved and prefers not to invite people to her home, which marks a difference in their lifestyles.
