The Impact of the Spray Effect on Skin Aging: Causes and Innovative Solutions

The daily use of perfumes, especially on the neck, could lead to unexpected consequences for the skin, according to experts in dermocosmetics. Although compliments for wearing cologne are common, this habit could be related to the appearance of stains, especially on the neck and décolletage. Experts from renowned brands such as Byooode, Perricone MD and Medik8 have sounded the alarm.

The problem lies in the formulation of perfumes, which often contains alcohol. This ingredient may weaken the skin's protective barrier, making it more susceptible to sun damage. Patricia Garín, Director of Dermocosmetics, explains that contact of alcohol with sun-exposed skin can lead to a dull complexion and dehydration. Raquel González, Byooode's cosmetologist, warns that in addition to drying out, the skin becomes thinner and more vulnerable.

The neck, characterized by thinner skin and fewer sebaceous glands, is especially prone to these damages, even more so if perfumes with citrus oils are used. Mireia Fernández de Perricone MD emphasizes the importance of including sunscreen in the daily routine, especially for this very delicate area.

The treatment for the resulting spots is comparable to that of sunspots. Isabel Reverte de Ambari recommends the use of ingredients that even out the skin tone and the daily use of sunscreens. Active ingredients such as vitamin C provide effective protection against future dark spots and tone revitalization, while hyaluronic acid maintains hydration.

With advanced products such as Byooode's Brightening Sprouts Ecstasy serum and Medik8's Liquid Peptides Advanced MP, there are solutions to improve neck care. Additionally, the use of sunscreens such as Relief Sun Moisture, which offers broad protection, is essential to prevent other problems.

These suggestions highlight the importance of caring for not only the appearance but also the health of the skin, especially in areas frequently neglected. Knowing the adverse effects of applying colognes to the neck, it is possible to redirect practices toward care that promotes healthier, blemish-free skin.
