Madrid's PP councillors accuse Puente of blocking on X over criticisms of his administration.

PP councilors in Madrid, including the second deputy mayor Borja Carabante, have claimed that the Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Óscar Puente, has blocked them on the social network X (formerly Twitter) after criticisms of his handling of incidents on the Cercanías network. The Community of Madrid has requested an urgent meeting with Puente due to the recent derailments. The mayor José Luis Martínez-Almeida and other councillors have expressed their disagreement on X, highlighting the urgency of addressing the problems with Cercanías and the lack of investments. Puente defended his blocks on social media, arguing that Twitter is not real life and one chooses the company.
