In the search for an effective cleaner for glasses, a team from EL PAÍS Escaparate evaluated four popular products, comparing their ability to remove dirt and protect the lenses. The analyzed products included cleaning wipes from the brands Buena Vista and Haadi, and cleaning kits from Zeiss and Camkix, both with spray and microfiber cloths. The test was conducted on glasses with an anti-reflective coating, and factors such as ease of use, the effectiveness in removing fingerprints and grease, and the possibility of leaving residues on the lenses were examined.
After testing, the cleaning wipes from Buena Vista and Haadi stood out as the most effective. These wipes, impregnated with a specific formula, managed to completely remove dirt without leaving marks, and their quick drying makes the glasses ready to use instantly. Although they emitted a slight odor, it is considered a minor detail in light of the quality of the result. The Zeiss and Camkix kits also showed good results, effectively removing fingerprints and grease. However, their size and the need for application in several steps made them less practical for portable everyday use.
