As part of Europe Week, the Dulce Chacón Municipal Library in Brunete today welcomed José Antonio Sánchez, Deputy Minister of the Presidency and Local Administration. During his intervention, Sánchez highlighted the importance of fostering among young people the values that have sustained prosperity and peaceful coexistence in Europe for years. These storytellers are an excellent way to bring children closer to the principles that have shaped our civilization and that should continue to guide our path, he commented.
This activity, promoted by the Directorate-General for Cooperation with the State and the European Union, seeks to commemorate the richness of European culture through storytelling sessions. This year, the team is made up of five professional storytellers who, in sessions of approximately one hour, will convey this cultural diversity to the little ones.
In addition to the session in Brunete, this campaign will cover a broad tour of the region, visiting towns such as Becerril de la Sierra, Belmonte de Tajo, Brea de Tajo, Buitrago del Lozoya, and Camarma de Esteruelas, among others. These activities will extend across various localities such as Lozoya, Manzanares El Real, Montejo de la Sierra, and Torrelaguna, among many other municipalities in the area.
This joint effort underscores the commitment of institutions to foster knowledge and appreciation of European values from childhood, using storytelling as an educational and cultural tool.
