Call for Expansion of Lists in Aragon: Music Theory Teachers with Practical Test

The Department of Education has announced a new call for applications to expand the waiting lists in the Musical Language specialty, within the Corps of Professors of Music and Performing Arts. This process aims to fill temporary vacancies, providing an opportunity for professionals who wish to be part of the educational system.

Registrations will be open from October 24 to November 5 through the PADDOC platform. This call for applications requires applicants to pass a practical test, which adds an additional dimension to the selection process by evaluating technical and pedagogical skills.

The test will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at the Zaragoza Professional Conservatory of Music, located at 39 San Vicente de Paúl Street. The candidates will face a series of challenges that include a dictation, a test, and exercises in reading, intonation, and improvisation. In addition, they must present a didactic unit, demonstrating their ability to teach effectively.

This call reflects the Department of Education's effort to maintain quality standards in music education, ensuring that educators possess not only a deep knowledge of the subject, but also the ability to transmit it effectively to students.
