The Department of Education, Science and Vocational Training of Extremadura has announced the call for 333 teaching positions for the year 2026. Of the total, 10% is reserved for people with disabilities, and if these slots are not filled, they will be added to the open-access ones.
Within the teaching corps, 299 positions have been allocated. Early Childhood Education leads with 126 places, 13 of them reserved for people with disabilities. Therapeutic Pedagogy will have 37 places, 4 reserved, just like Hearing and Language, which will offer 35 places with 4 reserved. Primary Education will have 32 places, with a quota of 3 for disability, while the Music specialty will have 22 places, with 3 also reserved. Foreign Languages and Physical Education will have 9 places each, with one reserved for disability.
On the other hand, 34 positions have been allocated to other specialties. The Official Language Schools (EOI) in English will have 27 places, with 4 reserved for people with disabilities. Additionally, vocational training in the specialty of Machining and Machine Maintenance will allocate 3 places, including one for disability.
This movement seeks not only to expand the teaching staff, but also to promote inclusion and provide opportunities for people with disabilities, ensuring that the education system of Extremadura is more accessible for everyone.
