The Spanish Agricultural Guarantee Fund (FEGA) has completed the publication of the beneficiary lists of the extraordinary aid intended for agricultural holdings affected by the high-level isolated depression (DANA). The latest partial report increases the total amount paid to 77 million euros, benefiting 9,136 farms.
This initiative was implemented under Article 24 of Royal Decree-law 7/2024, promulgated on November 11, as part of an urgent plan for immediate response, reconstruction, and relaunch following the damages caused by the DANA between October 28 and November 4, 2024.
With this final list, the publication phase of partial beneficiaries is completed. The granting of aid to certain legal entities that requested assistance under Article 11 of Royal Decree-Law 6/2024 remains unresolved, for which a decision by the State Tax Administration Agency (AEAT) is still awaited. The resolutions will be notified once the corresponding decisions are made.
Moreover, the announcement of this last group of beneficiaries activates the period for filing appeals to the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in accordance with Article 24.6(d) of Royal Decree-Law 7/2024.
This aid is essential for mitigating the income losses suffered by farmers and ranchers due to extreme weather events, and is part of the Spanish government's actions to support the agricultural sector in times of difficulty.
