Future Architecture: AI and BIM Transform Digital Construction in London 2025

The Digital Construction Week 2025, held on June 4 and 5 at the ExCeL London venue, attracted more than 6,500 professionals from sectors such as construction, architecture, engineering and technology. This event has established itself as one of the most important globally, highlighting the latest technological innovations applied to the built environment, with a special focus on artificial intelligence (AI) and Building Information Modeling (BIM).

Around 150 companies presented advanced solutions in areas including sustainability, process automation, and robotics. The event's agenda stood out for its richness, with more than 300 experts, including representatives from giants such as Microsoft, HS2, Arup, Heathrow Airport and Bluebeam, who led presentations and roundtable discussions on the evolution and application of BIM, as well as interoperability and digital collaboration in the industry.

The event also offered nearly 200 training activities, accredited by CPD (Continuing Professional Development), essential for professional development in a dynamic sector undergoing constant digitalization.

The Spanish delegation played a prominent role, with companies and experts who shared their experiences regarding the implementation of BIM. Borja Sánchez Ortega, Project Director and head of the International BIM Manager Master's program, emphasized the centralization of information in a digital model to improve collaboration. In Spain, the adoption of BIM has gained importance, being mandatory in certain public contracts due to the impetus of the BIM Plan of the corresponding Ministry.

The Digital Construction Week 2025 reaffirmed itself as an essential event for professionals interested in the digital transformation of construction, providing a platform for knowledge exchange and connection with industry leaders, and exploring the best practices and successes in the adoption of these technologies.
