The Minister of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory, Ángel Víctor Torres, today held a meeting with the management team of the Ateneo de Madrid, led by its president, Luis Arroyo. The meeting centered on the discussion of the current activities of this emblematic cultural and private institution, recognized as the most relevant in contemporary history and declared to be of public utility.
During the meeting, both parties explored possible avenues for collaboration in the area of democratic memory. The State Secretariat for Democratic Memory, affiliated with the Ministry led by Torres, emerged as a key resource in the development of these joint projects. The importance of the Ateneo de Madrid in promoting critical thinking and intellectual debate makes it a strategic partner for initiatives of this kind.
Minister Torres stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation with prestigious cultural institutions such as the Ateneo. As indicated, these alliances are essential to advancing the consolidation of a democratic memory that contributes to a more just society and that is aware of its history.
