The Xbox app experience for PC on Arm-based Windows 11 devices will receive a significant boost with a new update that begins its rollout today. This update will allow users to download and play games locally from the app, opening up a broader catalog for those subscribed to PC Game Pass or Game Pass Ultimate.
The collaboration between Windows and Xbox is reaffirmed with this joint effort to ensure the compatibility of its catalog of games. Additionally, new features are being developed to make more titles accessible on Arm® PCs in the coming months. This initiative aims to involve Windows Insiders in testing and to ensure full access to their game libraries.
The update, corresponding to version 2508.1001.27.0 and higher, is now available to Windows Insiders who participate in the PC Gaming Preview. Those interested in joining must download the Xbox Insider Hub from the Microsoft Store, sign in with their Microsoft account, and register in the 'PC Gaming' section. After registering, you will be able to check for updates in the store and access the new version of the application.
It should be noted that the update will be rolled out gradually, so some Insiders will receive it before others. Users have the opportunity to provide feedback through the program's menu, allowing them to report problems or suggest improvements.
With this update, Windows 11 users on Arm® devices have one more reason to enjoy their gaming experience.
