This June weekend, the DANA has traversed the Iberian Peninsula from southwest to northeast, causing rain, storms, and a notable drop in temperature. AEMET has issued warnings in ten autonomous communities due to the risk of intense showers, strong wind gusts and large hail. Castile and León is especially vulnerable, with an orange alert in several provinces for accumulations of up to 30 liters in one hour. The storms will intensify between Friday and Saturday, affecting mainly the inland areas of the peninsula, while on Sunday the DANA will move away, although the instability will persist. Temperatures will fall between 5 and 10 degrees below normal, although the Mediterranean area will remain warm.
