The Cervantes Hall Theatre in Alcalá de Henares has launched ticket sales for its traditional performances during the festivities, with a program that promises diversity and excitement for all tastes.
The Theatre in Fairs cycle will begin on August 22 with an innovative adaptation of "La Lazarilla" by Eduardo Galán. Under the direction of Carla Nyman, this production aims to preserve the essence of the classic 'El Lazarillo de Tormes', now from a female perspective, with actresses Soledad Mallol and Pepa Pedroche leading the cast.
On August 23, attendees will be able to enjoy the dance-theatre performance 'Luna', directed by Rocío Pozo. Inspired by the work of Federico García Lorca and wrapped in the music of Falla and Granados, the show presents a sensory journey where prose and flamenco dance come together to pay tribute to the poet.
Humor arrives on August 24 with the 'Alcalá Comedy Show', presenting monologues by renowned comedians such as Juan Carlos Librado 'Nene' and Sara Drama, among others. The comedy will continue on August 26 and 27 with "Lo mejor de Yllana", a compilation of the company's most iconic sketches.
On August 28, "Trash" by Yllana and ToomPak will prompt the audience to reflect on recycling through percussion and movement, while the following day, "Corta el Cable Rojo" will offer an improvisational theatre performance full of music and humor.
Finally, the cycle will close with 'God help us' on August 30 and 31. This comedy, directed by Josema Yuste, promises plenty of laughter with an intriguing plot of robberies and suspicions.
