In a significant step towards employment inclusion, Acciona has renewed the Inserta Agreement with the ONCE Foundation. This agreement, initially signed in 2007, has been renewed for the current period with the objective of hiring 150 people with disabilities in the next three years, thus reaching a total of 744 hires since the start of the collaboration.
The recent meeting between the vice president of Acciona, Juan Ignacio Entrecanales, and the executive vice president of Fundación ONCE, Alberto Durán, reaffirms the commitment of both entities to promote the integration of people with disabilities into the workforce. Acciona will continue to collaborate with Inserta Empleo, an entity belonging to Fundación ONCE, to fill vacancies with candidates who fit the profiles requested and to provide them with training tailored to the needs of the position.
This agreement also includes actions to promote indirect employment insertion, through the acquisition of goods and services from special employment centers. The alliance between Acciona and the ONCE Foundation has shown positive results since its inception, which has led to prior renewals in 2012 and 2017.
Since 2004, Acciona has implemented the Disability Office, a resource to provide comprehensive guidance and personalized follow-up to both employees with disabilities and their colleagues and managers. Currently, 4.6% of Acciona's workforce in Spain is made up of people with disabilities, a figure that exceeds legal requirements and has been awarded by various entities for its outstanding work in integration.
This joint effort reflects an ongoing commitment to inclusion and equal opportunities in the workplace, consolidating Acciona as a benchmark in corporate social responsibility.
