Omar Bravo, former footballer and historic figure of Chivas de Guadalajara, faces serious accusations of sexual abuse against his 11-year-old stepdaughter, a case that has escalated to the courts and has kept the public on edge. For six years, Bravo would have committed the abuses, taking advantage of his trusted position in the home. The Jalisco Attorney General's Office has decided to thoroughly investigate the case, even reviewing two previously archived files that could be related. The judicial authority's decision regarding pretrial detention will be announced at the hearing to initiate the formal process. Meanwhile, the defense attorney, Leobardo Treviño, maintains that the presented evidence is not consistent and he trusts that Bravo will be able to return home after the hearing.
The defense criticizes the reexamination of archived cases, arguing that there is a lack of new evidence to reopen them. According to the victim's lawyer, José Juan Soltero, the young woman has gathered evidence, including videos, audio recordings, and screenshots, to support the allegations. These pieces of evidence are questioned by the defense, which claims that they have been manipulated and taken out of context. Despite the seriousness of the alleged crime, Treviño tries to downplay the situation, noting that if it weren't for Bravo's fame, the case would be easier. The former footballer, one of Chivas' top scorers and a former national team player, denies the seriousness of the allegations, while his defense seeks legal avenues to avoid a harsher sentence.
